I created this series while pursuing my Masters in Studio Art.  I had been drawing and carving these patterns and designs for many years, and I was inspired to try them in a new way.  I first worked on these large marker mandala patterns that I mounted on wood and then asked myself, what would this look like in clay?  So I started experimenting with discs of porcelain that I pinched in between my fingers to give an uneven texture on the surface.  Most of my ceramic work is meticulously made and here I wanted to literally have my fingerprints create the texture. I raised them at different levels by glueing the discs to nails at different heights
